we have the youngest team in the league and our turn will come]

Sorry but Kadri et al are NOT  grade-a quality prospects.  They aren't poised to grow into the LA Kings, or Hawks or have the young guys that the Oilers do.  The cupboard is not well stocked.  And it won't get stocked because they have no top picks, despite being so bad that they would be poised for the best draft positioning.

"our time will come", thats convenient for Leafs fans.  You can never be proven wrong by saying that.

What I find bizare is that the Leafs can't score, thats fine.  They have one or two top 6 players if you count Kessel and Versteeg.  But from the looks of it, they have a solid D, and decent tending.  Why do they give up so many goals?  Why can't they just try to lock it down, and be in more games.  They should just go the old Minnesota Wild approach.

They will always sell out simply based on population, and corporations that buy 18,000 season tickets and dole out the tickets to staff and to schmooze.  The sell out crowds have pretty much nothing to do with the on ice product.  How could it?  6(?) years of missing the playoffs in a row?  Thats hard to do on purpose.

They couldn't win in a non cap situation, and they can't win now.  Drafting and player development is the only way to go.

Heck, even the Canucks have figured this out.

Raymond, Kesler, Burrows, Schneider, Henrik and Daniel, Edler, Bieksa - All home grown key assets that are providing a positive impact.
Thats 5 top six forwards, and two top 6 dmen and a highly touted goalie.

Looks like Rogers is making an effort to purchase the Leafs. Chris what are your thoughts on this?

You had the lead with 8 seconds to go. That is not a nice point.
That can be said for the team that stole 2 off you.
