Friends and I went there 2 weeks ago, 8 boats went out all had hali and salmon.  One boat limited out on salmon even skipper and deckhand, that's 32 springs to boot!!

Friends went again yesterday, between the 3 of them 1 hali, 1 ling, 2 springs.

One of the friend got one that was 27.6lb.  Most what we saw was in the teens.

It's worth a trip.

I have been going with a group of guys for 12 years now. 8 of us went last Sunday and Monday. We watched the Sunday morning boats come in at 1pm loaded with fish. Our 2:30 trip got outside of the harbour only to turn back because of the 3-4 meter waves. The next morning they were all of 4 meters with a chop on top. All we could do was to hide amongst the Broken Island group and pretend to fish. The fish are definitely there out at South Bank. We just had bad luck with the Gale Force winds and couldn't get far enough out to find them. As said previously, it's not for everyone, but I enjoy one trip a year where I don't have to be skipper and deck hand on my boat. You will be jigging along a railing with 14-22 other fisherman (party boat style) for Chinook and the odd hali ( not as plentiful this year). The coho have not shown yet, but it could be any day. Last year same weekend mid July, we were limiting on hatchery coho. That price quoted in the paper is for select dates only (midweek) and stateroom accom. on the large boat that is moored at the resort. Shore accom. in the lodge is extra. Good luck.

Was there on the 5th and 6th of July.  One 12lb spring and one hali a shade under 34lbs.  Worth the trip.

Went there last year, limited out on Hali, actually the entire boat did.  Going again this year, well worth the $$.

Have a great day

Rob.
