The Canucks have one of the most balanced teams heading into the playoffs, if we get Mitchell back our defense will look solid, only weak spot right now is spotty goaltending, hopefully Lou will pull his boots up and start making some saves

Doesn't look good for Mitchell's return. He hasn't even resumed skating.

I am friends with Mitchell's cousin...
His family went and visited the team a little while ago, they talked with Raymond and apparently no one on the team can get a hold of him.
Even his cousin shot off a few emails, etc and no answers back. No one really knows where he is at the moment.
Looks like he's missing in action lol.

imo Willie Mitchell will not be the difference between hoisting the cup or not.  Also they need more out of their 3rd and 4th lines.  Their top two lines give any defense problems. But anyone knows you need 4 lines to make a run.  The likes of Bernier, Wellwood...they need to start producing in the dirty areas and do more then they are right now.  Also Raymond has to step up, he's been slumping for quite a while now.  If Samuelsson can come back healthy and keep putting up the points, it will help their cause a great deal.

Right now I think Canucks are matched up against Detroit. If this was the matchup in the first round, I think things will need to go Canucks way in order to get to 2nd round.   Like I said...bottom two lines need to step up.  Defensive core is going to have to play out of their heads, and most impotantly, Luongo is going to have to peak.  To me he looks too tired (same old story)  wouldn't be a bad idea to let Raycroft and Luongo take turns starting rest of reg season.
that being said, I don't see Canucks making it past 2'nd round...

I think you can narrow it down even more by saying that if Luongo is top flight we definitely could do it, as the team play's well, if Luongo play's well and we have the talent to get it done. If Luongo is shaky the team seems to become unconfident and rattled and starts taking penalties.

I won't be surprised if it's more or less a repeat of last year.

objectively...I predict HAwks in 7. Pretty evenly matched teams. Chicago is VERY deep up front and solid backend.  If anything chicago has questions in net. Vancouver has questions defensively. Who's going to deal with Dustin Byfuglien in front of Luongo?  should be a fun one!
