He sat and let us shoot for quite some time as his belly was full from the recent kill he had dragged up into a nearby tree. It was early morning, so some shots were taken at ISO6400.
Just when we thought it couldn't get much better - his brother came by and the two hung out and played a bit before moving on to their next adventure for the day. Wow!

Yes, KC - that's a Wildebeest carcass.  Leopards drag their kills up into trees to keep the hyenas from stealing their kills. VERY strong animal!

not a great shot of the bear, but it seemed petty close at the time lol, and it would not leave the trail so i had to re route lol

After a weekend's work, I was able to slip away on the Sunday afternoon and shoot at the Cleveland Zoo at the end of March... Here are some of the shots:

I hope you enjoyed them... it's quite a nice zoo, roomier than many but feel sorry for the animals - they can never really have enough room there, but it does allow people to learn about them and to understand the conservation needs in a more face-to-face way.

cool zoo pics!
took a walk on the North Alouette river today, saw 2 bears 2 snakes 2 sandhill cranes ( flood coming? ) a migration of tiny frogs biblical lol)  and a hawk
pretty good fos so close to home I thought
