Prestigious Award
« on: April 27, 2009, 10:15:05 PM »

Dr Marvin Rosenau was presented on Saturday at the BCWF convention with the most prestigious award given by the BCWF. Rosenau won the Barsby Trophy for Conservationist of the Year.

Dr. Rosenau is a key committee member of the Fraser River Gravel Stewardship Committee who has been dealing with the gravel removal issue that are destroying fish habitat on the Fraser River in the Chilliwack area.

Of course the provincial government is adamant that it is for flood protection but it is the same government that thinks Run of the River projects and fish farms are OK too. ???

Congratulations to Marvin for winning this award for all his hard work and dedication in trying to save our fish and their habitat on the largest fish producing river in the world.
