New Float rod advice.
« on: March 04, 2009, 01:53:29 PM »

I am looking at getting a new rod for my Abu C5601C4 reel. I am currently using a Shimano Convergence 10'0 rod. Model number CV100MB 8-17lb test 1/2oz - 1oz. I mainly toss wool with some blades and run 15lb test. I am looking at upgrading to a Techium. Would this be a noticeable upgrade? Any advice would help.

thanks

It really depends on the rod's specs and the reason why you want to upgrade. Generally, just upgrading to the next model does not give much of a difference. You need to go at least a couple of models up the line to see or feel significant changes.  Try the Tradex show this weekend to see if they have any you fancy.
