Yeah, I wasn't 100% positive. Harder with just half of the fish showing.

My other guess was a spanish mackerel.

Edit: Serra spanish mackerel (Scomberomorus brasiliensis) to be more specific

Yeah, there are 18 Scomberomorus species, can't really tell most of them apart except the few that I have seen in Australia. :) Tasty fish...

this is the spring my dad caught it was about 37lbs


this is the spring i caught it was about 25-27 range

caught these off of island 22 boat launch  langs fishing took us out
