hey guys

the last few weekends ive been on the vedder and have heard alot of explisions or blasting, or shooting somewhere in the upper river area,

i was just wondering does anyone know whats going on, is it construction, or what? im just curious

probably shooting... its hunting season not to mention everyone shoots guns in the hills up there.

I'ts coming from the army base just up from the hatchery our reserves in training.

last saturday (last week) I heard what had to be the biggest explosion I have ever experienced up there. IT rattled my brain

They do a fair amount of blasting on that mountain up behind the hatchery..... When I was working up at the hatchery last winter they cae down and gave us a warning for when it would be so we could take cover just incase some rocks came flying

someone is Beek Hunting i think,   thats why there are so many shots, almost a machine gun in nature

Comments like that maybe intended for humour, but really unnecessary, especially if you want people to take your stand on certain issues seriously.

Blasting at the old military range is being undertaken by a commercial company. They somehow use blasting to harden railway rails. Not sure about the technology involved.
They also have closed access to this area for safety reasons.
