Well - I'm not bringing the 4.3lb 100-400. 

I'm bringing the 40D, one spare battery, 2 x 4GB cards (shooting JPG), the 17-85mm lens and am CONSIDERING the Sigma 70-300 but that depends on my pack load :)

Also need batteries for the FRS radios and the Sat phone as well as GPS... etc.  Geesh.  I'll be lucky if there's room for clothing! ;)

heard the burger was worth trying at the lytton hotel.

and don't you miss not having a video record feature on your camera?

That sounds like a great trip. Don't forget your rod. If that is to much trouble you can hand-line your flies. I have a freind who use to guide outfit in the Sawtooth on the Idaho, Montana border and he hand-lined all the time. If you are bringing only 1 fly pattern make it's the "Irresistible".

Ps after that trip you are going to love good food and coffee prepared by some-one else.

I can't allow my 16yr old Venturers near the Lytton Hotel.... I owe them that ;)

Never liked video. I find it takes WAYYY too many hours pre-edit to come up with reasonable video.  I prefer the high quality of my stills enough that I don't feel a need for video either.

I thought about a rod...but I don't think Stein lake has any fish... too many natural barriers and glacier fed.  If anything I'd be tying the line onto a stick and tossing it in the water with a bit of pepperoni probably ;)

Streams Dragon! I'm talking streams, tie the line to a stick, you will be fishing for trout that have never seen a hook! It doesn't get any better than that!

just stay i lillooet or...maybe the nahatlatch north bend area...it is all nice.

lytton is too....but give it a whorl!
