Weaver lake
« on: June 09, 2008, 05:01:34 PM »

Had a great day out on Weaver Sunday, 8 in the boat, lost a few right at the edge of the boat.
Just trolling hardware at about the 15-20 level. Most in the 8 - 12" range, but did pull one out around 16", but caught him on a red spratley later on in the afternoon.
Cheers

Always had my best luck along the island right in front of the boat launch.

There are fish every where in that lake, seen many very large ones on my fish finder. They seem to be just off the drop offs, pretty much around the entire perimeter of the lake.
I have caught the most in the first bay to the right after leaving the boat launch.

Does anyone know the number of the person that has the key to the Weaver Lake rec site?  I'd like to reserve a camp site but I'm having a hell of a time finding who I need to talk too.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure you cant reserve forestry rec sites, first come, first serve.
The gate has been open since at least the May long weekend

thanks for the reply...on a couple of websites I've been looking at, and in one of the Backroads Mapbooks, it says there is a $10 fee to camp there...I was wondering why they would charge for a BCFS Rec site....maybe they stopped charging the nightly fee
