Whonnock Lake

We hit Whonnock for a couple of pan size fryers on Sat. It's my 2nd time there and this trip i noticed a sigh saying no electric motors, I get the gas restriction but not the battery op?
Can someone explain ???

I can't say for sure but I believe the park caretaker has something to do with the no motor thing. I am going to see what buttons I can push to have the electric restriction removed. I say, there is no need for that restriction, since electric motors are eco-friendly, no gas or oil spills or noise. Which leads me to say the ruling is discriminatory toward handicapped anglers.

Just a guess,but it might have something to do with the depth of the water averaging maybe 4'-5' and the "peat moss" bottom.
I can see things getting stirred up pretty easily.

Besides, it probably helps keep all those rental paddle boats the caretaker owns ,on the water. ;)

Vaseaux lake it is one for the waterfowl, It says 'Canadian Wildlife Service' in the regs for why, so I assume and could be wrong  looks like it is a Federal restriction???

Vaseaux, man I have not been there in 30 years.....
