Canucks need to win their games in overtime.....they haven't done very well in shootouts. Gone are the days when we've had a can't miss kind of guy like Jaarko Ruuto.... laugh if you like but he could find the mesh during a shootout! We don't have a guy like Hempsky....man he gives Luongo fits when he comes down on him....talk about turning a goalie inside out!
in MHO you need to come in with speed which Nazzy never does. I think we should start with a guy who has a ripper of a slapshot ala Brian Rolston and take a blast from point blank range. If you don't score at least you might rattle him for the next shooter. Salo (when he's healthy), Kriechek, or even Bourdon or Edler who both have heavy booming shots would be good choices and goalies don't know the latter 3 that well.
In any event my choices would be:
1. Salo - bullit slapshot
2. Morrison - proven he can do it
3. Henrik S. - Hempsky-like, never shoots but tricky with the puck
Alternate - comes in with great speed, has 2 SH breakaway goals
