If it stays cool that always helps keep the river in. Yesterday a very warm wind melted snow right to the top. I was surprised it cleaned up as fast as it did. ;D

Wonderful conditions this am. Had to cut short the trip this morning as attending a court case on a fellow caught dumping garbage on the Chilliwack. I had numerous chances, lost at least two coho including a clipped one right at the beach, broke a large chinnok jack off right also at the beach, knot in the 8 pound test leader. Landed a 15 pound chum, very bright.

Hope the rain holds off so I can get out later today. ;D ;D

Hey Chris I lost a nice chrome jack (real close to 62 cm.) right at my feet today, darn swivel on my colorado broke, never had a swivel break before :( Oh well lots more fish out there and I'm on holidays for the rest of the month ;D
Too bad, there sure is some nice chinook jacks around. I slipped out tonight and took a chinook jack below The Bell and missed two fish at the Twin Cedars, saw two taken.

The bite was not on like this morning. Light rain at dark so looking forward to good conditions in the morning. :-\

Please report on the conditions in the morning Chris. I will be looking on the site around noon and making my judgment mainly on your report.

I really appreciate all the condition reports you post.

In all my years of fishing the Vedder, I have not seen springs this bright in such large numbers.  Usually, even the brightest Jacks will have a tinge of green on the body.  Leads me to believe that these fish did not hold up at the mouth of the fraser or the vedder and just blasted right through.

Yes and we have higher water this year so as you say they are just moving through the system.

Good to have higher water as the fish have not been subject to the questionable fishing practices for the lenght of time they had the past few seasons. ::)

Only light rain in CHWK now. ;D ;D
