I am new to Bar fishing, although I had some success last year I was wondering if using an attractant may help. Any suggestions

sometimes I soak my spin n glow in shrimp oil.. but the natural ones seem to fish just as good so I can't say if it makes a difference or not, might give you a bit of confidence though, give it a try

I did manage to pick up 3 springs using a spin n glow but I saw guys doing better , maybe it was about better placement of the spin n glow or just better luck

Don't be afraid to experiment. Some days chinooks prefer a particular scent, other days they prefer something else.

Woah woah woah.
I think you guys are forgetting a main question.
It all depends on what part of the Fraser you're fishing.
Upper I would say Glows for sure!
However, if you are fishing Tidal Fraser, I would just use a glob of roe becuase most if not all places on the lower dont have enough current to spin a Spin and Glow.
By talking to a lot of the old timers down on the lower, I have found that scents do not really matter most of the time. As long as its out there in the proper positon. Thats the best way to go.

best one to use is Smelly Jelly "garlic/anise". Hardly anyone does but it is pretty much a "can't miss" scent when bar fishing springs. Use the paste not liquid gel.
