looking to buy a new centerpin, to date i have owned a kingfisher, an islander is, islander searun.  I am now torn between a talisman or this beauty, what do you guy's think?? ???

I have had one of these "Greys Bewick" reels in my hands. It is a VERY light reel. I would use it on smaller systems with a smaller rod (9 foot range - 4 to 10 lb). I am sure it will handle bigger rivers and rod, although IMO, it may be a little light.

As a person who owns a couple of Talismans, I have to say that IMO, it is one of the top reels on the market today.

Go for the Talisman - you will never regret it.

I totally agree with c-pin,once you own talisman,you wont regret it. ;)
