The Bush pig ( first pic) is like domestic pig. Similar texture and flavor, just a little wild but damn close in taste.

Warthog meat is great... not on a BBQ - to dry if you BBQ it, but roast and stews are great with garlic and red wine, we also make a jerky ( called biltong) that is just as great. The best though is an Eland - it is also the biggest antilope in Africa.

yah but a full grown master bull elk is big(850lbs) And muley bucks grow to some huge weights, neighbor/bestfriend buck went 300!  :o

Take a look at the link,pretty intresting reading reagrdingt this animal.. the Cape Eland gets 850 Killograms, 1870 Pounds.

I always say - You need enough gun.. The Blue eland, was shout 5 times with a 375 HH... and you can see in pic they were good shots. They tuff as nails...

Is Elk good eating?

340 is a big gun, but bullet placement is top on my list
