Anything going on in Capilano
« on: November 09, 2006, 12:14:02 PM »

Wondering if it's worth heading up to Capilano this weekend or early next week?  Is it too late?  Guy at work says the water was so low for so long that now's the time to head up.  Thoughts?

I don't care what I catch, just want to have a bit of fun.

Heading up on Saturday with a couple of pals. I've heard some good things this week so maybe it'll be alright. Better than being stuck downtown any day.

I was out yesterday and to color was pretty good...maybe 3 feet and the flow was great for where I was fishing.  Saw a few coho and lots of springs.  Tried a colorado blade but roe proved to be the ticket.

Heard the same from another buddy who was up on Tuesday, said the Spring were chasing the Cohos out of the pool he was fishing in. Hooked a nice Spring on a big hunk of roe. Hope Saturday is good as well.

Hmmm.  Lucky them.  I had bugger all in the two places I tried.  I saw 3 fish, one being a jack rising, the other a typical coho splash and the slow rise of a chum.  All i caught, was a very ambitious bullhead that won't need to eat for a week after munching my roe.
