Barfishing the Lower Fraser tomorrow!!
« on: October 06, 2006, 08:55:07 PM »

Well, at this point, I know there are a lot of Coho in the Vedder, but with the lack of rain and gin clear water, I would rather relax on the lower Fraser and see if I can intercept a Coho or 2!!  I was reading that the Bait ban was lifted sometime today I believe, so it will be a crap shoot, but willing to see what is there.  Will post a report when I get back!! ;)

going to the vedder to try out the new roe, special dye, seeing if will work on the tight lipped coho! Will report back!  What the dye does is it makes the transparent almost see through eggs, into a solid colour, so the fish pics it up faster, and it adds a little difference to what every body else is fishing. Have fun guys!

Well, since some are wondering!!  Rick and Myself hit the bar at about 6am this morning, had a few decent hits early watch about a million fish rolling in front of us, including some real nice Coho and had a grand total of zero action!! :o :-[  Not sure what to do tomorrow now, try it again or hit the Vedder and the GONG SHOW!! ???

I'd try again.  Vedder was a gong show today (as usual for a weekend) so if your spot had lots of fish which were not being bother and you have peace and solitude, then could you ask for anything more (besides a hook-up).

Yeah I am heading back out tomorrow, but I may try another spot I know of.  I heard through the Grapevine that it has been producing for tossing spoons.  So we will see what happens. :)
