I dont think brining it would kill anything at all.  Parasites tend to be pretty tough,  I think it requires extreme temps to kill the little buggers.

    If you use enough salt/soy sauce in your brine and soak it for any extended period of time the worm /parasite would be very hard pressed to survive. Also, what the brine won't take care of the freezing process definately would. However, when in doubt or to ease your mind freezing it for a day or two may mkae things easier to swallow.......sorry I could not help myself Tight Lines.
