ambleside April 17th
« on: April 17, 2006, 01:16:05 PM »

Caught tons of undersize crabs and :-\ 2 nasty sculpin things. Fishing is still a bit slow. The pier was very crowded. One guy kept catching 10-15 inch sole on strips of squid. Only stayed for 2.3 hours and then it started pouring HARD. >:(

sculpins they are, as u mentioned. or some would call them Bullheads.  Not many fishermen would keep them. one should gently release them back to the water if they r not the targetted species

Not accuseing just wondering how you have them both on the dock for a picture unless you caught them both at the same time?

Happened to me numerous times. I rather catch a few bullheads in my net rather than a seal. Man those things can do some major damage to your net.
