Vedder Not Too Good Now,April 14
« on: April 14, 2006, 02:24:36 PM »

Got out briefly this morning and water conditions were excellent to start. I believe I missed a fish of some sort but not positive, in the "Torpedo Run".

The rain and wind was something else and I got soaked in the short time I was out. When I checked it at 1 it was not that great but the snow level is way down so if the rain stops it may come back in, will check it later.

The highlights of the morning were, finding a few bobbers, including a Maple Leaf drennan, meeting Floon who was out fishing with the fly rod and some fishing buddies including Tex from Fish BC. I gave him a tip of a hot spot for the fly so hope he had a chance to fish it before the river went downhill.

The other highlight was buying two Leaf hats for the grandsons to wear as we make a run at the playoffs and the Stanley Cup. ;D ;D ;D

Just got back from the Vedder and in the Canal area visibility was close to 2 feet at dark. It has stopped raining for a while and is fairly cool out with the snow level down on the mountains. If we do not get too much more rain it may be worth wetting a line in the morning as the season is quickly wrapping up.

Talking about up, the river is up nicely now and will have, finally, and thankfully moved the fish out of the two main holding areas in the Vedder part of the system. It is there that some anglers, but I must add not all, that fish these spots have been fishing this areas by less than sporting fishing methods.
