Hi Guys,

I'm so close now to having my boat out on the water, and I can't wait any longer for the matching anchor to appear, lake season is getting too close.

Problem is, I don't know anyone who can make me another anchor to match the one I do have.

Does anyone on this forum know of anyone who can take the template anchor I have and copy it, and also make a river anchor that will hold on rivers like the Harrison?

The boat is only 12 feet, so it should be pretty easy.

Any leads you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nicole

Nicole, can you post a picture of your anchor. I'll ask my brother in law, he is a fabricator. He might be able to make something at work, or at least I'll be able to get a ball park figure on how much it'll cost.

Nicole give me a call at 604-857-5387 I am heading to our fabricator every second day right now, Im sure he could build one to suit or exceed you requirements. If you want to drop the anchor off at our shop I can look after it from there.

Hey Again,

I got some photos together of the anchor, for those parties able to help with this:

does this look tricky to do? My dad offered to do it as his friends place using lead, but I'm not sure how much cheaper it would be, or if steel would be a better choice of materials.

Cheers,

Just get one of those small buckets kids use in sandboxes, fill it with cement... ;)

Better get this done soon, you have a bit more than a week. :) Oh wait, I am still waiting for Chrome Mykiss to fix the leak on my boat... :-[

NIcole a concrete version of your anchor would be really easy to make. You can use pre-mix and just add water and sand. Add a loop of steel, and very easy to make.
