After a couple of disruptive phone rings (phoning me at 10:30am, how inconsiderate!

) that dragged me out of that warm bed this morning, I toyed with the idea of spending a couple of hours in Ladner and searching for the forgotten gold ghost.

I ran the idea by Chrome Mykiss and he was keen, so we decided to meet at the secret location at 2:30pm.

I arrived at the location first and was told by CM that he was making a detour to Timmy's.

While I sat and waited, drama unfolded on the nearby field. I looked behind me, and large flock of snow geese landed.

I quickly grabbed the cameras and jumped out of the car. Luckily I was able to get a few shots in before they flew away.

CM arrived just as the geese were taking off. It took no time for the gear to be set up and we were fishing!

Don't disclose the secret spot now.

Beside the usual rod and reel, I always make sure my carp outings include a chair, a rod holder, a catch and release net, and a small container that carries all my terminal tackle, bait and cameras.
So today's trip highlight was the end of it.

Water was low and brown, not a single nibble. We decided to take refuge at Steelhead King's house after a few hours of boredom. Itosh then joined us for dinner, Korean BBQ was on the menu tonight.

Kiss my carp has to wait until next time...
