Need help on Dick Lake and Cannell Lake
« on: November 01, 2007, 11:21:10 AM »

Anyone know if fishing is allowed at either of these two lakes : Dick Lake in West Van and Cannell Lake in Maple Ridge ?  They seem like the watershed types but I cant tell or find much on them. Has any member fished one of these or know about regulations/restrictions on them ?

Thanks

You mean Dick (Eagle) lake that is West Vancouver's water supply as in watershed, as in fine and gear confiscated. I used to fish White lake nearby until they enforced the no trespassing watershed business on it. Same goes for Cannell there is a road from Steelhead going to it but all locked when I checked years ago.

I fished Cannell years ago. Even back then there was a gate but we were more interested in just going for a hike. We ended up fishing off some of the large deadfall at the south end of the lake. I remeber catching several small trout but don't remember what they were, but for some reason my memory doesn't want to think they were rainbows. This was a long time ago, at least 10 years...
