Ol Red Light Bernier heard muttering words after the game in the halls about Nelson Mandela.

Very entertaining game. Dale Tallon is the GM for Florida & the 1st hoped star player for the Canucks in early 70s. Jagr the 44 yr old player was available at the draft in yrs gone by. The Canucks decided to draft Peter Neved. Peter was a good skater, play maker & he went on to play for the Rangers ( other teams ? ) imagine though if the big IF the Canucks picked Jäger.
He's had so many great seasons & still at 44 yrs old is battling out there for Florida. He must make the twins feel young again.
Canucks goalie really stood on his head. Great play.

The Canucks were on tv tonight. Ryan Miller in nets after being out with injury for a few weeks.
4-1 Caps win.
Did not bother to watch because it was obvious they were not going get the W with Miller between the pipes.
Maybe the Canucks would of won if say the Caps have won 10 straight & they kinda approached the game with the attitude "we just got 20 pts in the standings thus maybe we can afford to have an easy night & if we lose who cares" ...in other words they go into the game 1/2 hearted.
Miller should be the #2 guy & not a starter.
He has had his chance & his play over all is very average.
And with the low Canadian loonie & Canucks get paid in USA $ you just know owners are not getting their  $ worth they are paying Miller. ( $7 mil US a yr. I think )
Only other bad deal that comes to mind is the 70 mil $ the Grizzlies paid Big Country Reeves.
The guy was slow, over weight,& could not jump. What was the GM thinking to pay average forward that kind of $ ?
Well anyways Big Country has a good hobby. He likes the fishing sport a lot.
Hopefully FA can give the Canucks a phone call & get Miller to be the #2 goalie. ( if it was me he'd be #3 thus a back up to the back up   :o

Pity the Canadian teams having to pay their athletes in US dollars.  As to Bryant Reeves, A-BOATER is dead on, he was slow, overweight and can't play. What was Stu Jackson thinking giving him that massive contract. He was be laughing sitting in his mansion in Gans.

Honestly thought the Leafs would take this game as Chicago put out a lot of energy playing the Habs on Thursday.  Think Leafs now have to take on the Bruins tomorrow. 4 straight losses for Toronto.
They normally play well against Boston.
Them blooming Canucks get a W with Markstrom between the pipes.
Think they have found themselves a stopper.

The advice you are giving the Leafs I have no doubt will get positive results in the next few games.
I'm going out & betting $$$$ on the Leafs.
Losing streak is coming to an end.

Not even the mighty Leafs can lose them all.
