Check out the vid "Millions of Sockeye Salmon" (by Rodney)

Maybe alot of ya go quickly to this forum page & do not check out the FWR Homepage so often.
I'd encourage you if ya have not already check out the vid "Millions of Sockeye Salmon"
Rodney captured the Socks jumping in the Fraser R. in Steveston.  I was one of the lucky ones to see the fish jumping that very day ...at this location aprox. 1 pm.
Only one other time I seen fish jump like this ...think it was in 2004 aprox. in early or mid Sept.
Really a sight for sure.

The foot of #3 road in Richmond at dusk tonight looked just like that. There's still lot coming in.

I thought there were a lot of fish last week, tonight it was just ridiculous. It looked like a hail storm was moving through the Fraser River mouth, except the splashes were a lot bigger. :o

I had fish jumping over my fly line, jumping next to me while I stood in the water, jumping a few feet from beaches. What a sight.

Didn't think anything could beat last Friday's display but by the sound's of it... IT DEFINATELY DID .
WOW ...UN-REAL !!! (looked like a hail storm...Rod's statement)
Gotta love it. Nature is full of surprizes.

The rain through out the province in the past few days (more showers to come) will help out these fish & the cooler weather.

I was told that they jump in the ocean because of lice... Is this not true then? Serious question Rod..

Tis a nice video Rod.  Must have been something to watch all ofthose sockeyeys jumping aorund.  :)

Thanks for putting it together and showing it to the rest of us.  I don't get out that way much.
