Birdnester: Good design, your enthusiasm continues to amaze me. ;D However, I have several hundred patches to sell already, would like to get rid of all these before we start another designing contest. :) The patch actually looks better than in the pic, and it's not a dolphin, it's a carp (dolphins don't have gills. This fish lacks an adipose fin, but... could be a really really fat hatchery coho...). ;D

Grumman: The money does not go into enhancement yet, unless our effort to attend as many events as possible to teach kids fishing counts. ;D The current profit generated from the patches are used to run this forum actually. Well, sort of... I have to sell at least 25 patches per month if they need to cover the cost..... lol...

pinkwool: ex-members are welcome to wear the patch if they wish, they are also welcome to return to the forum unless they were banned. The Otto-MIA thread was pulled because all comments posted were mostly directed personally at another member or ex-member and we feel that kind of exchange can be done in private instead if wished.

What about former members who got dropped off the site and their trail is erased continuously? Can they wear a patch?

Men in Black come by, erase their memories, and remove the patch :D

Nice patch Rod. How does one order a patch & is it embroidered. I ordered one from FishBC & it looks more like an iron-on....for $10. I collect fishing patches & have some for trades if anyone's interested.

For those who don't like my patch I respect that. For those who do, I respect that. For anyone that thought I meant to disrespect Rod's patch, I didn't. As always I was just having some fun. As for my design, I was just that bored. But for the plain-ness of mine, I like it. I'm gonna try and incorporate a fish into it. Oh well, bored again.
Peace, love and happiness.

birdnester, great design.  but for me, its not so much about the 'flash' that i'm after, as much as a way to identify our members.  i've seen some pretty wicked designs from other sites,  but because of the way their members misrepresents themselves,  i wouldn't even  use their patch to wipe my ..... glass cup with.

i would even encourage everyone to wear the 'fwr' patch, knowing that we could confidently approach one another and be comfortable in doing so.

Not offended here Rob, it'll take a lot more to do that. ;D Any suggestion is great of course, that's how people improve. :) The design looks good, but maybe it can be the second version of FWR when the time is right. :) For now we'll just stick with this.

Great people in here? Like... big people like bigguy? Or accomplished fishers? ;D Or.... ;) Yep, fortunately there are many many keen participants in here who are willing to help newcomers such as yourself. :)

whats funny though, is that i've been fishing since i was a little boy.  tidal, up until 3 years ago and freshwater since. i wouldn't be surprised if i've even spoken to some of you before and not know it.

Rod - Now that we are all clear on the fact that the original design will stay the same for the time being,
How can we go about purchasing one of these numbers from you?
Is it posible to have an icon on the front page with all the purchasing info?
From what I am reading I think you'll be able to sell a fair number of these, in the not to distance future.
