I only bring my cell phone fishing when I am brood stock angling, sorry, not poacher report.

It was around 2 or 3, at the thawed end of the lake (obviously).  Not the super popular spot, but close to the outflow creek.

He had two lines on the bottom and another out with a bobber...looked like he might have been early 20's, dark curly hair, Caucasian.

Next time I'll take a picture  8)

Wow, there is no excuse for that .... nothing gets me more ticked off than that or people that litter, I've seen more and more garbage at Rice Lake lately, coffee cups, paper napkins, empty bait jars, line and beer cans.

If I see that I'll snap a few photos and post them on here for everyone to see ... maybe then they will play by the rules.

I think the guy you are referring to is me. We had three rods and three people so we were not poaching.

I haven't been up there since last weekend, but I would say that half of the lake is still frozen.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share my findings when I went to Rice lake yesterday.  It's been cold, and Rice Lake is slushy as of yesterday afternoon.  Theres about 2 inches of slush on the entire lake.  I saw one person in a orange cap fishing off the dock.  (Hello!)

I have pictures, but I haven't read about how to post them.  Anyway, needless to say, I didn't see any surface action.

I'm planning on going up this Sunday, if anyone's up Saturday, could you post the conditions?

Thanks!

Still a layer of slush & ice on the lake - looks about exactly the same as last week despite the risen temps.  If anyone has any updates I'd be greatly appreciative.
