+1 on get a feel for the bounce. A properly tensioned bounce with the correct leader length automatically sets the hook. One o'clock auto sets are almost always in the mouth, 2 o'clock+ hook sets nails too many body snags. No need to risk that in this boom year.

Just be sure to hard double set when you feel the head shake. DOUBLE TAP  :D

Lots of socks this morning, 3 in first 5 cast.

 My count is near 0 as I foul hooked one when fishing the Thompson but had to release it as the area was closed for retention. ;D ;D ;D

Cool, did you bait your hook with a loonie for extra weight or a bill for the color?  My trained fish jump in my ice box, but hell, $200 bucks and the freezer and have em all jump in, that's even better;D
