Was driving didnt get that good of a look, but was more of a blue/white colour, could have possibly been a fisherman counter. Maybe it was a rcmp heli, I have no clue just woundering if anyone saw it.

awesome! this is what a non-fisherman understands from our controversy arrownd flossing;
accidental snagging happens+guys can use the gear to snag fish+snagging is illegal=don't fish

Ya see, that's what in fighting amongst fishermen will bring.  Some people even tries to get media envolved and not knowing the media have no clue on what the heck is really going on.  At the end, the easiest for the non-fishers to solve our internal problem is to shot everything down.  Nice.  :-\

Any method of fishing using a hook and line has the potential to foul hook a fish.  That's why there are rules in place stating that any fish that is foul hooked must be released.  It's easy to foul hook a chum while swinging flies.  It's just as easy to release it.

DFO does a rod count twice a week to determine angler effort. They usually fly once on the weekend and one day during  the week.
