loomis 1263  or lamiglas.  light enough to feel light takes enough power to handle any fish ... unless your fishing the thompson

i don't mind Talon rod, they are strong, lots of back bone.. but they are heavy compared to Sage or Loomis..  Its all depends on what you like, but i do my best to stick with a factory build rod instead...   Like other mention, GL2 1263, sage 3106, 3113 would be a very good option..
