Hey guys new here, but not new to the fishing scene.
My name is Gord, I live in Chilliwack and fish for all species available at any particular time of year. I enjoy using all types of gear. I fly fish for all species of trout in stillwaters and streams. I gear fish for salmon and steelhead. I fish for sturgeon, troll for trout and char and am not shy to use bait for any species when called upon.
I am 40 years old and have been seriously pursuing STS (salmon trout and steelhead) for 20plus years.
I look forward to hearing what this forum has to offer, and hope to be able to add from time to time.

Just wanted to say Hi to all the fellow fishermen/gals here. Fairly new and inexperienced angler. I  wanted to join this forum in hopes of learning more from experienced folks from the community close and far and look forward to talking, and perhaps meeting some of you guys.
As a side note, I have glaucoma and are already blind in one eye and half of the other. I am currently still recovering from post op since last September and have troubles seeing clearly and thus spend some of my days fishing to pass the boredom :D

OK, now I'm curious, Ralph... :) You've been a member of this forum for almost 9 years, what prompted you to complete your profile now?

I thought it must be more than 9? Mostly because the thread became active again. I had a somewhat unpleasant experience with a similar thread on another discussion board many years ago so I have tended to avoid these sorts of discussions.

Name: Brad
Location: Nashville, TN but grew up in Lynden, WA
Relationship: Married to a wonderful woman that is willing to go fishing with me
Occupation: Math Nerd in Insurance
Favorite River: currently Fraser river as that is the only one with salmon fishing when I am able to visit for a week in the summer although if I had other options to avoid the hordes of people I would (or if our favorite hole hadn't shallowed way up two years ago :( ).
Favorite River growing up: Nooksack, pulled so many steelhead, chinook, coho, chum and everything else out of there growing up
Favorite Method of fishing: float boat with large hot shots waiting for a steelhead to rip the pole out of your arms
Favorite memory: I remember when I was young going out on our float boat, my two brothers in the front two seats, my dad in the middle rowing, and I'm sitting on the back on the fish hold.  We would have all froze except for the fighting of fish.  A two mile drift took us most of the day and we limited out (2 per person) with most of them over 15 pounds.  Spent more time fighting fish than we did drifting it seems.  Two large steelhead on at the same time in the same boat is quite interesting as well.  I miss the gold old days.
