Michigan has a "Sportsman's card"  You fill out the deets once and get a credit card with your vitals.  You get it "refilled" annually or whatever...  It has a mag strip with the info on it.  Of course this doesn't help with Spring/Steelie counting....

Hi guys,

Just wanted to invite anyone interested (a range of ages of anglers would be ideal) to the "Recreational Angling E-Licensing Concept Preview" on April 3rd.  This will be held at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery in Abbotsford starting at 6:30 pm and will run for approximately 2 hours.  There will be a demo of the new e-license concept web page and you will be able to provide feedback and suggestions for the launch in April 2008.  The more anglers we can get out to this event, the better representation we will have in how the system will work.  There are many vendors already committed to attending but we still need more anglers.  There will be snacks, coffee and tea provided.  The hatchery is located at 34345 Vye Rd just NorthWest of the Sumas border crossing.  Please call 604-504-4709 and ask for Natalie for more info and to confirm your attendance as soon as possible.

A river is never quite silent; it can never, of its very nature, be quite still; it is never quite the same from one day to the next. It has its own life and its own beauty, and the creatures it nourishes are alive and beautiful also. Perhaps fishing is only an excuse to be near rivers. - Haig-Brown
