As a person who has fished there 3 times I can give you some advice. The fish arent big with the average being 1-3lbs but the occasional lunker is reported each year. Fishing in front of the boat launch with chironomids and bloodworms can be very productive where the water is about 10-12 feet deep. If that not your thang, and trolling is I would suggest, trying a 52 Buick, halfback nymph, prince nymph and various green caddis. Good luck and make sure to report how you did. 8)

Fawn Lake is a great lake to fish. Its a very picturesque lake that is great for float tubes/ pontoons. The fishing is usually pretty steady with the occassional 3-4 pounder. On rarer occassions, you might be rewarded with a 6-8 pounder ;D I wouldn't target the fish just off the boat launch...that area is the spawning area for the trout and they should be left alone. Directly across from the boat launch along the far shore has been very productive for me :D As for the flies to use...buicks, spratleys and caddis imitations work well. Wait until sunset and be prepared for lots of dry fly action!!

We go up to fawn lake evey year for about 4 days. I;am actually leaving today to go up. I usually catch between 7-14 trout. Iv caught them from 14-23 inches. We use 14-20 foot leaders and cast out a chronomid then slowy bring them up. O ya by any chance fishingbuddah are you the fellow who was at riverside fly and tackle.?
