F250 with 7.3L Powerstroke
« on: September 21, 2004, 04:05:31 PM »

I'm looking at a '96 with only 90000K.  I've heard that these are great engines with one big problem.  Cavitation in the water jacket.  How do you guy's like them?  I need a 3/4T ext. cab for hauling an 11 1/2' camper followed buy the  15' Grumman, 1 wife, 2 kids and a 15lb. dog.  Note the important stuff is listed first ;D

What do you think?

I'm up here (temporary? I don't know) in Fort St. John and lots of people drive that truck around. Seems like a good truck in my totally unqualified opinion.

As long as you use the proper anti-freeze and test it on a regular bases, your engine will last a long time. Go talk to the guys at Co-Van International in Coquitlam they will provide you with a wealth of info. I have over 450,000 km with no major problem. ;D ;D ;D
