who sells UV spin n glos?
« on: June 29, 2011, 10:51:58 AM »

Hi guys,

getting ready for my first year of bar fishing, and was told by a much more experienced fishing buddy that his go to spin n glo is a white, UV coated type. I have checked army and navy, as well as Berry's and apparently the're not too easy to find.

Can anyone comment on the effectiveness of UV coated ones, and perhaps share their go to's?

Also, can anyone point me in the right direction to find these? Craigslist and ebay didn't seem to yield any reults either.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Not to hijack your thread or anything, but since someone has just  posted an answer   ;D ...... what exactly does the spin n glo do?  Is it the vibration of the blades in the water that attracts the fish, like a spinner or spoon?

Thanks!

In a pinch, you can buy spray-on UV that dried after a few minutes. I've used it, but not sure where to get it.

I bought my UV spin-n-glos last year at Canadian Tire.  I just checked today and they still sell them.  There were 2 colors: a green and silver one, (Double Trouble UV Chr) and an orange/silver with white wings one (Double Trouble UV Flame).
