Green Timbers Lake, May 14th 2011
« on: May 14, 2011, 07:58:35 PM »

The fishing was good today but slow at times. I took mt bro out and we caught 3 fish in 4hr. Float and worm worked well as well as bottom fishing with power bait. Now would be a good time to take little kids out.

Nice that you got into some fish
I beleive it recently got stocked so yes good time to get out there (little kids or not)
was the lake busy ???
here is a little bait tip
mix flour, garlic powder, and or cheese powder, natural food color (green, red) and water to make paste
shape into bait size balls,(or any shape you prefer) drop in boiling water for a few seconds, remove and cool
store in jar or zip lock and keep in freezer/cooler (tried and tested) ;)
you can skip the food color

The lake was not to busy. I think the rain kept some people at home!
