close places

does anyone no some places closer to surrey that are non tidal spots to fish cutties and bull trout??? ???

Sadly, most urban bulltrout and cutty populations with reasonable access are long gone due to pressure.  I doubt there's anywhere near Surrey that fits your description, and if there were, it wouldn't remain long after word got out on the internet. 

The tidal Fraser would be a good spot, Rodneys even written some good articles.

thx 4 your input and i have decided to do the tidal fraser any one no some good spots ??? not exact names of them but the genral area of some good spots  ;)thx in advanced coho ;D

I went to richmond and tried salt water bull trout. I arrived an hour before sun set, because I have school in the morning. I was harder than I thought,.
I was using a spin rod with a 3/8 croc. plus it was really hard to cast while wind is blowing toward me, so I left just before sunset. Going to try again soon.

I'm heading out tomorrow and/or Sunday to try some spin casting for trout also.  Make sure you attach some split shot lead weights to your line, it'll help you cast.  You can experiment w/ how much and how close to place it to your croc. 
I'm giving the Alouette a try.

Definitely pay attention to the wind direction. I usually look out the window and check the weather website to see how strong the wind is and which direction it is coming from, before choosing where I want to fish. If it is blowing from south, I usually fish the north side of Richmond that lines along the Middle and North Arm. If it is blowing from north, I fish south arm from Richmond.
