Non-tidal Fraser River, July 16th 2009
« on: July 17, 2009, 03:36:21 PM »

After taking 2 springs in 3 trips to Scale Bar, I was looking for the 3rd. But I heard Scale is a bit too shallow now so I went to Lower Pipeline (Sticky Bar) with a friend and two non-salmon fishers (no salmon stamp). The bar is still quite high with water line only within 10 ft from the tree line. Lots of mosquitos when you stand so close to the trees. It was a slow day  and many fishermen left without a fish. Saw only 1 spring taken in the whole afternoon. Briefly fell a fish but skunked for me and the friend, but the two non-salmon fishers had a blast with the pike minnows using guts taken from the only spring caught there by a lucky fisherman.

Pretty good sunny day to be out even w/o a fish. The bad news is that somehow I dropped my key set while there. Didn't know it until we got back to my friend's place where I parked my car. Luckily my friend was the driver so we could all go home. Will be there again on Saturday to fish and to look for the missing key set.   ;D   If anyone picked up a key set there, please email me at steelhawk1@gmail.com and many thanks.

Tight line,
Steelhawk.
