Ved aug 28
« on: August 28, 2008, 09:23:34 PM »

Well i just had to get out there
I hit the flow about 8.15am
The river looks great to me
about 3ft vis at Peach
no takers today apart from lots of small trout tugging at my roe
i put on a big spoon to see if that would entice a fish and all i got was more trout hitting it hard
with the river the way it is all we need are the fish and there will be lots of spots to fish for them

I noticed that they are removing a lot of gravel down by peach
not sure if this will change the river up there

I spoke to a guy from the fire department up river and he said the were investigating an area where a stolen car had been set on fire last night

Any news on those gravel extractions?  Are they in there right now?  Are they using their usual M/O?  Seems like they're in there a little late or in a time when they shouldn't being that the water is fairly high.

Lol the gravel removers are SCREWED. They were doing extraction right across from peach road only 1-2 feet above water level. Guess what happend. Last night water came up a good foot at least and it will still keep coming up with the heavy down pour we have been getting.

Just be careful walking around the areas where they have been removing gravel as the edges will be very soft and the chance of you falling in to their pit is high. But it sure makes for great coho fishing. They are also down by Brownroad/Bergman area.

Actually the coho cant get into them because they arn't diggin trenches leading in and out this year for some reason  ???  And I know what you mean, they do give out easy and if you fall in you are in a lot of trouble. They are deep and the sides are steep so you can't crawl out, hopefully someone is around with a stick  ::)
