Interior lakes?
« on: June 24, 2008, 12:23:26 PM »

My brother in law is arriving from the UK next week and I was thinking of a trip (from Abbotsford) towards the Merritt area, or nearer home, for some good trout fishing. Can anyone recommend any lakes please? We would be fishing (fly & spin) from the shore. Thanks, Shaun

Do you have a boat or a float tube accessible to you at all?

I have a float tube. Can you rent a boat at many of these lakes?

You could try Tunkwa Lake Resort. They have some boats for rent and it can be a very productive lake.

I am not sure which other lakes up there have boats for rent.

I would second the vote for Tunkwa.  Great drive and nice area.  Fishing can be great.  Was in that area a week ago and enjoyed it.

Thank you. I will take a drive up there next week.

Are there any other lakes closer to Abbortsford (apart from Mill lake)?
