Tips on Harrison Lake/River?
« on: May 24, 2008, 12:15:59 PM »

I'm launching the boat at Kilby tomorrow morning to take the wifes boss and a friend out fishing.  The main goal of the day will be to try and find some sturgeon.  I don't have any experience cathing sturgeon in this area but I want to avoid all the debris flowing down the faser.  Any tips would be great, I'm rigged up with a depth sounder so I can find my depths.  Also if there are any good ideas on where I can troll along for some trout that would be very much appreciated.
Thank ya.

You are probaley aware the Fraser is very high at this time, almost as high as it reached last year so I would stick to the Harrison.
Hopefully someone will help you out on some spots to try in the Harrison.

Nice avatar Chris but couldn't you smile at least with a beauty like that in your hands? I only ask because I get the same complaint!

The river is a lake right now, hard to locate fish due to the large amount of water! just have to drive around and see them splashing about! seems ez but its pretty hard, huge amount of water to cover!

I never posted any results mainly because there wasn't any.  When we arrived at Kilby park the whole parking lot was under water.  So we went to harrison lake instead.  Few nibbles, nothing substantial.
