Dumper Gets A Heavy Fine, Finally

In Provincial Court this week a person who had dumped garbage on the Chilliwack Veder River watershed a few months ago was tracked down and received his sentence, a $1,100 fine. $1,000 of this goes to the Habitat Conservation Fund.

A press release is being prepared and some print should be obtained from this case showing persons who want to dump will be dumped upon. The eyes and ears are out there, to catch those that want to spoil our precious environment.

 Kudos to all that brought this case forward.

Good news, I hope there is no more dumping.But if there is I hope they also get nailed.Thanks for telling us.

The fine is great, but does any one want to give me odds that it will be paid. ;D

I am sure it will be as the alternative I believe would be a stay in a hotel with some iron in front of it.
