I know it is salmon season but I wanted to mention a nice alpine lake with good trout fishing - Tenquille Lake off the Hurley FSR.
Closest access by 4WD with 2 hr hike in. Nice camping. Pretty big rainbows (35-40cm) down deep at a few spots. Most spinners will work (blue fox, rooster tail etc.). Need to let sink, they will take within a few seconds of reeling in.... I am sure fly fishing would be great.
Question on rainbows: the few fish we ate had different color flesh, one really pink, the other rather white. Any idea why that is? I have seen that in other lakes as well.

hatchery and wild, hatchery have white meat usually and wild more pinkish, but it could also be what they are feeding on, if they feed on shrimp then they will usually have a darker pink

some wild trout meat is almost as pink as salmon.
