Just want to say thank-you to all that responded to my questions about centrepins.Got a starter outfit consisting of a 10'6" Shimano convergance that board member FishFreak had for sale ;).As for a reel I cheaped out for now with a well used Avon(kind of a Charlie Brown and the sad little Christmas tree needs a home deal) I picked up at Reaction Fly and Tackle.Took it to the Chehalis to christen it.Caught on to the casting fairly quick and the reel seemed to perform quite well for the mileage  :).The large and shallow spool held more than enough line and provided a decent retrieve speed. Only took about an hour of floating roe and I had a 8# hatch buck on the beach! ;D Going to take the reel into Mikes and see if they can tweek it up a bit.Thanx again........Spoonman
