Lower Fraser Sept. 23, Still Pinks Around
« on: September 23, 2005, 02:02:17 PM »

Went to the N Arm for 1/2 hour at lunch. I saw people were into fish by the time I got there.

So, forget eating, I fished. I ended up with a Buck at the end.

I met G-Man there (Nice to meet U). He was also at lunch. Guess what, as I left, he took MY Rock and hooked onto one on the 1st Cast.  :D That was too funny. This was the 1st time I went back to work without saying 3 more casts.  :-X

All in all, I got 1 & seen 3 others hooked in 1/2 hour.

Yeah Obi, I was pretty lucky too hook one on the first cast. I played it for a minute or two and unfortunately it popped off. I fished for another 20 minutes and had one more hit, but didn't hook up. Then it was time to go back to work. Not a lot of action for the other fishermen in sight in the the time I was there.

Quite a nice way to spend a lunch break on a sunny Friday.  :)

Obi,
I'm not asking for exact spot, but was it south or north side of the North Arm (i.e. Vancouver or Richmond side)? Never fished that Arm, but planning to go and want to narrow my search area as I'll have limited time for fishing.

Thanks for report!

Pink fishing at its peak right now. I don't know how many I caught today in 4 hours. More than 20 for sure. Bottom bouncers around me had little luck but I caught all mine on the fly. For a while it was almost every second cast. Man the bite was on!!  Fraser upstream from Chilliwack.

Sorry for the late reply. But I just came back from Golfing, shot an 80 with a horrible display of short game & putting.

G-Man & I were on the south side of the river north arm. The peak is definately passed by, here in Richmond. The window of fishing from day to day are smaller & smaller.

Those of you who thinks it's peaking now are fishing way farther up river then we are. They is no BB here. But I can certainly believe it's peaking in the Chilliwack area.
