Haven't hit the Fraser this year......Anyone have a recent report on sturgeon fishing in the Fort Langley/Maple Ridge area?

I don't have a very recent report for you, but we just missed some reportedly good sturgeonating by 1 day as the freshet had just started and we spent most of the day with pike pole in hand pushing the floating debris away in the muddy water. We did manage a few shakers and 1 over 4 feet. That was 5 weeks ago in the Chilliwack area. I'm sure someone will have a more recent report. The river still looked fairly high and coloured last weekend, but should be dropping quickly. Good luck.

Fishing os spotty right now, but definately fish to be found. Just a matter of looking for them and having a few choices in the bait department.......

This time of year is hit and miss until later this month, then things start to really warm up.....

You should have fished them this spring.... best ever as far as i am concerned.....

Pike pole in hand !  are you a towboater ? Don't often hear people talk about pike poles !

No, not a towboater. Perhaps it was just a term I picked up from my late Dad who worked at a mill on the Fraser for years. We always had a few of them kicking around the yard when we were kids that we used to play with (not a good idea) until one of us got hurt!
