Fishing Tomorrow?
« on: November 10, 2009, 06:31:25 PM »

Going fishing tomorrow and just want to catch some fish. Thinking North side of the Fraser tributaries. Here's my questions: Whats the Chehalis look like. Is nicomen slough have any fish in it worth trying for at this time? Never fished the Stave so where would I start there, willing to walk to find spots but need a spot to start. Haven't fished on the North side in a few years so it's like exploring new water. Any other flows on that side that are producing. Just looking to catch some salmon as this will likely be the last trip to the rivers before boxing day ;) Not looking for secret spots but some suggestions would be nice :) Thanks in advance as it's a hour and a half trip for us and don't want to waste it.

The north side is your best bet if you are looking for coho ,the chehalis ,nicomen and stave will all have fish in them, the stave will have the most predictable water conditions, the chehalis could be good if the river is dropping,it usually drops pretty quick after any significant rainfall but if we have rain similar to what we have been seeing i wouldn't bother with the chehalis or nicomen,if you cant decide start at the chehalis if no go head to nicomen and if the nicomen isn't any good end up at the stave.Good luck.
