The weapon...... had been floating down-river wrapped in a waterproof neoprene bag.

Therein lies a tale.........

seriously though, that's gotta be awkward to fish that up... what are the odds?

i still think it's weird that it wasn't turned into rcmp quicker than in 2 weeks

My understanding was that they turned it in instantly and the police didn't publicise the fact until today.

Man that weapon can do alot of damage that's for sure. It's bad enough that drug sellers are killing each other here & in Northern Mexican towns where 1-2 people are killed daily....... BUT sadly it's bystanders that are being killed as well by stray bullets.... plus there was a family man who was gunned down in his veicle...here in Richmond. RCMP think  he was mistaken for someone else.... as he drove a similar veicle. Kinda makes ya want to drive a vw bug so the gangs will know not to target you by mistake. Too much market for drugs out there I guess.  People should just be happy with beer & wine to get their buzz thus the drug buissness would just FAD AWAY.... the way of the dino....

total meat-heads...they should have stuffed it full with rocks  ::)
or it was meant to be found, they could be laughing as the sip on there drinks with there friends.
if they get caught its a slap on the wrist and away you go... all in matter of hours
