Bell Irving Hatchery
« on: July 20, 2009, 03:13:18 PM »

Well it is that time of year again, time to fin clip coho. Today was the first day of clipping for my son and I and together with the crew from the hatchery we managed to clip almost 10,000 coho . In total we will be doing 40,000 so we have a few more days left of clipping. Here are a few pictures of my 8 year old clipping coho. Starting him young so that it becomes second nature for him to give back to the resource.

Just contact your local hatchery and ask or if you live close to Bell Irving just drop on by. There is usually someone there. Ask Rodney to post the contacts for the hatcheries. I know he did this last year. They all have volunteer opportunities
